Dr. Cho obtained her medical degree from Inje University and completed the five-year intern and residency training at Inje University Hospital in Busan, Korea. Then she underwent training in rheumatology and clinical epidemiology at Hanyang University hospital for rheumatic diseases (HUHRD) in Seoul, Korea. Then, she worked in the clinical research center of rheumatoid arthritis (CRCRA) funded by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, Korea as a research professor and established the KORean Observational study Network for Arthritis(KORONA), the first Korean multicenter prospective cohort for rheumatoid arthritis (RA)
with her colleagues. Through this cohort, she has performed various outcomes research and comparative effectiveness studies. From September 2011 to August 2012, she studied in the department of pharmacovigilance at Tokyo Medical and Dental University as a research associate. When she returned to Korea in 2012, she was promoted to Assistant Professor in the department of internal medicine at Hanyang University. From September 2018 to August 2019, she studied in the division of pharmacoepidemiology and pharmacoeconmics in the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, US as a visiting professor.
As an associate professor and clinician, she now works in the section of pharmacoepidemiology and the department of rheumatology at HUHRD.
