Prof. Müller-Ladner, MD, has graduated from the University of Tübingen, and received his internal medicine and rheumatology training at the Universities of Ulm and Regensburg, Germany. He also performed a basic research fellowship at the Department of Rheumatology of the University of Alabama at Birmingham. At present, Prof. Müller-Ladner is Chair for Internal Medicine and Rheumatology at the Justus-Liebig University Giessen, Germany. He served as President of the German Society of Rheumatology, is member of the EULAR executive committee as EULAR-ACR liaison officer, and will become President of the German Society of Internal Medicine in 2023. In addition, he is member of the Leopoldina. Prof. Müller-Ladner serving as a consultant to the German Ministry for Health and Education, the German Research Foundation and the Leibniz Foundation. His scientific focus are basic and clinical immunology and rheumatology disease topics, especially in the field of rheumatoid arthritis and systemic sclerosis.
